Traffic Court
Traffic schools have a purpose but were not meant to deal with problem offenders. ACCI's driver responsibility course was specifically created to deal with problem traffic offenders. Studies show that common defense driving courses stay in memory 6-8 weeks. A state's worst drivers, those who have accumulated enough points to lose their licenses, are for the most part selfish, quick-to-anger, self-centered people. Standard defensive driving courses are totally ineffective with this group.
ACCI has tried a different approach. It combines the best of traffic school curriculum with its evidence-based cognitive restructuring curriculum,to produce the first truly effective program for problem drivers. These drivers basically know how to drive, and have good reaction times; their chief problem is their self-defeating thoughts and behaviors. See brochure.
